The City of Pierce is a rural farming community located 15 miles northwest of Norfolk along NE Highway 13. Famous for their “Wragge Dogs” at the local meat locker, Pierce is a thriving community of just under 2,000 residents. The residents here pride themselves in its community services, which form the foundation and values of the city. Ever-expanding yet committed to historic preservation, Pierce offers residents unique leisurely charms, such as the popular Willow Creek State Recreation Area. The park covers 1,600 acres and offers camping, fishing, boating, swimming, water skiing, hunting, and a hiking and horseback limestone trail. Relax at Gilman Park Arboretum, take in some history at the Pierce Historical Museum, or enjoy the 9 hole community golf course. Don't let the laid-back feel of the city fool you, it's still a town full of spunk and personality. It might be slower paced, but its Main Street will keep you on your toes.
