The Village of Pilger, famously known as "The Town too Tough to Die," is located 20 miles East of Norfolk along Highway 275, in Stanton County and is home to nearly 200 residents. The proximity to Norfolk, Wayne and Wisner makes Pilger the perfect bedroom community. The area has been strong at re-establishing the community after a devastating EF4 tornado hit in June of 2014. There is a new community center, convenience store, swimming pool, bank, library and more. There are several small, independent businesses and there’s even an established country market featuring handmade and homemade items. Within and around the Village, you will find available lots and acreages to build on and put down roots. Enjoy summer celebrations during Pilger days in July, and the sweet corn feed in August. Pilger also hosts a beautiful park and has two access points to the Elkhorn River at Turtle Hole and Red Fox areas.
